Buying New Home or Re-Sale....That is the question!

Blog by Robin Lear | May 30th, 2012

When you are considering buying a Re-Sale Home, most Re-Sale homes are already in a well-established neighborhood with schools, shopping malls, parks etc..Most Homes will already have some matured trees, fences, sod, deck and sometimes basement development already completed. This helps with not having to fork up the cost to do these things. You can purchase a Home and possession can be as quick as 30-90 day period, so quicker turn around than a New Home. You do not have to pay GST unless the house has been renovated substantially and then the taxes are applied as if it were a New House. When buying a Re-Sale Home you may run into the possibility of having to do a few renovations, re decorating, pay to install window covering etc.. which can can put you out some money upfront.
