Back to school for many people...does that mean back to normalcy?

In Calgary this summer many of our real estate patterns, post Flood, stampede, and summer vacation were affected for sure...buyers in certain segments were very active ( under 500k) while many premium buyers above 900k quite simply either Left the city for summer vacation, or tookearly vacation time. When you break down segments by price point and area what sellers were experiencing in one neighbourhood was not necessarily the same thing going on in another neighbourhood or Price point.  As many people return to normal patterns we should see some return to normal patterns, at least until Halloween orthe snow flies...typically about the same time in Calgary. Another trend im seeing right now though, is with such a shortage of listings on the market, some sellers are trying to get premium pricing, with some success, and others not-so-much.  For more insight into your own situation, drop me a line...
